The Salt Lake County Council voted to put a $507 million bond on the November ballot. The ballot initiative aims to reduce crime, support community safety, address homelessness by investing in mental health services, and improve the criminal justice system by building a Justice and Accountability Center and improving and consolidating the County Jail. The Salt Lake City Council will have an informational briefing on the bond at its Sept. 17 Westside Council Meeting.
