RECAP: May 8 Council & RDA Board Meeting

At Tuesday’s meetings:

  • The RDA Board discussed an upcoming competitive funding process that will allocate $10 million toward to-be-determined affordable housing projects in areas of the City.
  • The Council received a revenue update and overview from the Administration of the Mayor’s Recommended budget for FY 2018-19, and the proposed Metropolitan Water District budget. The Council will continue to discuss the FY 2018-19 Budget every Tuesday through mid-June. Budget public hearings will be held on May 15 and June 5 at 7 p.m.
  • The Council discussed City policy and state law for small cell wireless technology. Small cell facilities are used to add capacity and coverage to broadband wireless networks. The Council will continue to discuss this topic in the coming months.
