How to Register for Public Comment
Public comments during formal meetings will be taken online via Webex. Comment registration will open upon publication of the meeting agenda (at least 24 hours before the meeting).
To register, open the meeting and click on the event status link (example below), complete the form and review the Public Meeting Rules. Upon registration, you will receive an email with a link to join the meeting. You may join 30 minutes prior to the start time.
If you receive errors (event not found) when clicking the register link, please try clearing your cache. Below are common browsers and quick ways to clear your cache:
- Chrome: shift + F5
- Firefox: CTRL + F5
- Safari: CMD + ALT + E

How to Provide Comments During the Formal Meeting
Please note: Not all Formal Meetings include a public comment period. Please check the meeting agenda to confirm a public comment period is scheduled.
Public comments during formal meetings will be taken online via Webex.
Public hearings are heard in the order on the agenda followed by a general comment session later in the meeting.
During the meeting, attendees will be called to speak based on the order of public hearings listed on the agenda. Please check the agenda to confirm and make sure you are available to speak when called.
Please be mindful of the Council’s Public Meeting Rules. The Council wants to create a space where everyone feels safe to share their opinion. The Council respects all points of view and we welcome new insights. Therefore, please know if a caller is not respectful, you will be given one warning, and if a caller continues to not follow the Council’s meeting rules, we will need to mute your microphone.
All agenda-related and general comments received in the Council office are shared with the Council Members and added to the public meeting record. During this time, you will find links to view comments received by email and our online comment form here.
