FEDERAL LABOR REQUIREMENTS
Many construction projects that the City undertakes are funded with federal resources. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has strict requirements for any projects using federal funding. The Davis-Bacon and Other Labor Related Acts were enacted to ensure that proper wages are paid to those working on construction sites, as well as a way to ensure that applicable labor related rights are upheld.
To assist with ensuring compliance, Salt Lake City created a document that lists the process in a checklist form. This process document, instructions on how to register on SAM.gov, and other related forms/posters are all maintained on the Contractors Resource Center page.
It is critical that all construction projects follow the appropriate steps, in order, to maintain eligibility.
