SUCCESS STORIES: CRAG Funding, Fit to Recover, and Jasmine
3/1/2024
A graduate of WCG’s Green Team Job Training Program, Jasmine, was hired to work as the Farm Assistant at WCG’s Green Phoenix Farm where the Job Training Program takes place. As the Farm Assistant, she is excited to be able to work her “dream job” at a place where she feels both physically and psychologically safe to be herself as well as pay-it forward to the women who are part of the current Green Team cohort. As a new leader at the Green Phoenix Farm, she is responsible for teaching and guiding Green Team members on farm-related tasks and activities while also serving as a role model and mentor for the team. She has expressed gratitude in being able to serve in this role and feels she has come “full circle,” from coming out of treatment and participating in the Green Team to now being a leader in the program that supported her and continues to support her in recovery and finding her life’s passions.
