Accepting Comments for the Salt Lake City 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan

On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. a public hearing will be held before the Salt Lake City Council to accept public comment and consider approval of the City’s 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan.
The Consolidated Plan details the City’s goals and objectives to build healthy and sustainable communities. The Consolidated Plan goals under consideration are:
- Housing
Increasing housing stability through expanding tenant resources, preserving existing affordable housing, and promoting long-term affordability. - Homeless Services
Expanding services to prevent homelessness, elevating access to case management and wraparound services such as medical and dental care, and prioritizing resource availability for unsheltered individuals and families. - Transportation
Investing in transit programs, increasing bus service frequency, and ensuring accessibility and safety improvements on our roadways. - Community Services
Promoting access to early childhood development and affordability, quality food access, efforts to bridge the digital divide, and other initiatives designed to improve the well-being and quality of life for residents within our community - Business and Workforce Development
Prioritizing job access and training, offering small business support, and expanding small local business façade improvements - Environmental Contamination Testing and Remediation
Focusing on Westside clean up and remediation.
This Public Hearing will use a hybrid meeting format. Hybrid meetings allow people to join online through Webex or in-person at the City & County Building, located at 451 South State Street, Room 326, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111. Public Comment Period
Prior to approving the goals for the 2025-2026 Consolidated Plan, the Salt Lake City Council will consider and review all public comments. The current draft Consolidated Plan, as well as the previous 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan, can be found on the Salt Lake City ‘About Housing Stability’ webpage.

All comments received through any source are shared with Council and added to the public record. The public comment period for this meeting starts on February 13th, 2025, and ends on March 25th, 2025, at 5:00 pm. Comments received after that date may still be shared with the Council.
