First, please attend a SLCbe training session. Gather your department mission and goals from Department Directors and consider how each of the employees in your work group contribute to the mission and goals. Schedule an annual goal setting meeting with each employee and quarterly checkins (if it is feasible).
Come to goal setting meetings with ideas for individual and professional development goals for your employees. Help them to see how they contribute to the team, what they could do differently or more efficiently or to position themselves for growth.

Attend your department’s SLCbe information session/training and complete a base line survey following the training.
Your supervisor will then set quarterly goal meetings. Come to goal setting meetings with ideas for individual and professional development goals. Also think about improvements that can be made to your department or processes. If you need to give constructive feedback to your supervisor, consider the best way to communicate your needs during these meetings.
