Salt Lake City has received a request from Austin Lundskog representing RED Partner Ventures to construct a new self storage building approximately 103,500 sq. ft. in size. Located at approximately 134 South 700 West. The project is being reviewed as a Planned Development and is also undergoing Design Review. It is located within the Gateway Mixed Use (GMU) Zone.

The project must meet all provisions of the Zoning Ordinance unless they are permitted to be modified by the Planning Commission. This type of development requires special approval from the Planning Commission before a building permit can be issued.

What are the next steps?

  • The Planning Division is in the process of obtaining public comment on this project to help identify concerns and issues from the public.
  • The project will be reviewed by the Planning Commission at the August 26, 2020 meeting and the Planning Commission will issue their final decision.

  • 8/26/2020 – Planning Commission Hearing

During and following this comment period, the Planning Division will evaluate the proposal against the applicable zoning standards, taking into consideration public comments as they relate to the standards, and develop a recommendation for the Planning Commission.
