SMH Builder, representing the property owner, is requesting approval to build a 234-unit multifamily on the properties located at approximately 255, 259 and 269 W Brooklyn Avenue. Specifically, the applicant is requesting an increase in the allowable building height from 60 feet to 79 feet through the Design Review and balcony encroachments into the required front yard through the Planned Development. The property is zoned CG General Commercial and is located within Council District 5, represented by Darin Mano.

  • Planning staff is in the process of obtaining public comment on this project to help identify concerns and issues from the public.
  • The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for additional public comments and make a decision to approve, approve with conditions, or deny the proposal. The date of the hearing is yet to be determined.
