Scott became disabled at the age of 28 and has been educating on disabilities and accessibility over the last 14 years. He served on Americans with Disabilities boards for the University of Utah, National Abilities Center in Park City, Utah, and Salt Lake City Corporation. He served on the University of Utah Disabilities Awareness Board for six and a half years, National Abilities Center Construction Board for to years, and the previous Salt Lake City Accessibility Advisory Committee for over seven years. He feels his personal and learned knowledge can be helpful for many disabled individuals in bringing accessibility and inclusion into the life of others, projects, and cities alike.
