Skip the Trip to City Hall!

The Council will host its Sept. 22 meeting on the city’s Westside at the Utah State Fairpark. We’re making it easier to reach your local government by bringing the meeting into the community. We invite you to join us for dinner while supplies last and share your comments on any topic during the 7 p.m. formal meeting.

Please note: This will be an in-person–only meeting. A Zoom option will not be available.

Getting to the Meeting

The public is encouraged to take public transit or GREENbike to the Utah State Fairpark. Use the UTA Transit app or your favorite navigation app to plan your route to one of the Fairparks nearby TRAX or bus stops. A GREENbike rack is located near the Fairpark on 1200 West North Temple. Use the BCycle app to plan and start your ride.

Agendas and Public Meeting Rules

Agendas are published at least 24 hours before the meeting starts. Sign up to receive an email notification when we publish meeting agendas.

Those who would like to speak must register. All comments submitted during public comment become part of the public record. All attendees must follow the Public Meeting Rules.

 

7 p.m. Formal Meeting

Formal meetings start at 7 p.m. and end upon the conclusion of items listed on the agenda. The Council holds public hearings and votes in formal meetings. There is also a one-hour time slot for general comments.

To share comments with the Council, register in person by filling out a comment card at the meeting. General comment registration closes at 7:30 p.m. You can register to speak on a public hearing item until the hearing closes.

Public hearings scheduled for this meeting include:

• Grant Application: Locking Out Crime COPS Microgrants Program
• Grant Application: Fiscal Year 2026 COPS Community Policing Development (CPD) Microgrant Application
• Zoning Map Amendment at Approximately 2025 and 2075 West 2670 North and 2620 North 2200 West
• Budget Amendment No. 1 for Fiscal Year 2026-27
• Public Utilities Impact Fee Facilities Plan, Analysis, and Consolidated Fee Schedule

The two COPS grant applications will be heard as one public hearing.
