We Can Help You Improve Your Business Facade

We Can Help You Improve Your Business Facade

This grant can help you increase the street appeal of your business. We use federal funding to help you improve your facade.

About This Program

Our Division created the Neighborhood Business Improvement Program, also known as NBIP. This program improves neighborhoods and the local economy by improving business facades.

The program focuses on helping you make new external changes to your building. We especially love painted murals! Other changes can include ADA accomodations and bringing internal building features up to City code.

We can give up to $50,000 as a grant to cover some or all costs for these changes. Businesses willing to cover some of the improvement costs may receive priority.

Who Can Apply

We use Census data to pick specific neighborhoods in the City for this program. We specifically limit awards to lower-income neighborhood businesses. You can apply if you are in one of these neighborhoods:

  • Rose Park
  • Fairpark
  • Jordan Meadows
  • Poplar Grove
  • Downtown
  • Central 9th
  • Ballpark
  • Central City
  • Liberty Well
  • Glendale

Both business and property owners can apply. We give priority to small and local businesses. Businesses owned by women, minorities, or veterans may also receive priority.

Who We’ve Funded

We have funded many businesses over the years. Take a look at our past projects to see what funding can do for you.
