If your car is missing
If you parked on a city street or in City-owned parking lot and cannot find your vehicle, your car may have been booted, impounded, or relocated. These actions are taken when a vehicle is parked incorrectly, and a parking citation is given.
Definitions
Parking citation: A formal notice, usually requiring payment, that is issued by Parking Enforcement or Police when a parked vehicle is not following the City’s parking rules.
Booted: When your vehicle cannot be driven because a locking device has been placed on the tire(s).
Impounded: When your vehicle has been towed and brought to an impound lot.
Relocated: When your vehicle has been moved to a nearby street.
