Lauren is a Senior Community Programs Manager at YouthCity Fairmont Park. She was born in Portland, OR and grew up there and Boring, OR (real place!). She completed a self-designed Bachelor of Arts through Fairhaven College at Western Washington University titled “Facilitating Creative Learning through Community”. Her degree naturally led her to working in afterschool programs where she appreciates the freedom to provide opportunities for kids to have adventures, build confidence, and express themselves.
She has been working in the field of afterschool for the last 14 years across the Pacific Northwest, New York City and for the last 9 years, at YouthCity in Salt Lake City. Outside of work she creates art, practices yoga and explores beautiful places. This school year she is excited to welcome new kids and staff.
