Members of the Salt Lake City Golf Division recognized by the Utah PGA

The Utah Section PGA has recognized two members of the Salt Lake City Golf Division in its annual awards. Dave Carter, Head Golf Professional at Glendale Golf Course, received the Player Development Award and Steve Elliott, Head Golf Professional at Forest Dale Golf Course, was presented the Gentleman Jeff Award.

The Player Development Award is given to the person who best promotes the game of golf in Utah with the goal of growing the game. Dave Carter’s hard work to promote adult learning and college classes at Glendale Golf Course has earned him this accolade. In 2017, over 250 students were instructed on all aspects of the golf game at Glendale Golf Course.

The Gentleman Jeff Award is named after Jeff Beaudry, a long-time and highly-respected Section Executive Director of the Utah Section PGA. Steve Elliott was selected as the 2017 awardee for his exceptional professionalism and service at Forest Dale and Bonneville Golf Courses.

“These awards demonstrate the excellency of our team at Salt Lake City Golf,” Matt Kammeyer, Associate Director of Salt Lake City Golf. “The awardees have made amazing contributions to our mission of providing golfers a top-notch experience and they work to continually develop and improve our courses.”

The Utah Section of the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) offers programs and services promoting the game of golf to both PGA members and non-members. Over 100 PGA-registered golf courses are located in the state of Utah; the Glendale, Forest Dale, Bonneville, Mountain Dell, Rose Park, and Nibley Park Golf Courses are all owned and operated by Salt Lake City.
