Expanding national lawn care company relocates to Salt Lake City

Currently located in Millcreek, Utah, TaskEasy is set to move their U.S. headquarters to downtown Salt Lake City on January 15, 2018. The lawn care company’s new location is located off 700 South and West Temple. The 39,500-sq. ft. building gives TaskEasy much-needed space to add nearly 200 jobs over the next year, with an investment of $6.5-million in the Capital City.

Utilizing the “UBER model” of lawn care, TaskEasy makes ordering lawn maintenance easier than ever before. TaskEasy delivers lawn care services directly to customers through their mobile app and website. Now in over 11,000 cities and in all 50 states, TaskEasy is established as the largest and most respected authority in the automated lawn care industry.

Company executives considered several other locations for their relocation – Silicon Valley and states south of Utah – but company executives say the decision to headquarter in Salt Lake City made the most business sense.

“We ultimately chose to be in Salt Lake City for a number of reasons,” says Vince McCullam, vice president of marketing. “Our new location sits just off a TRAX station giving our employees a variety of commuting options to and from work, along with the amenities of being downtown. Being in the City also keeps us within the Silicon Slopes branding effort and connected to the tech ecosystem. The name recognition of Salt Lake City was very important to us.”

Salt Lake City’s Department of Economic Development team helped TaskEasy executives in their site selection process, and will continue to provide excellent customer service as the company works to build out their new space.

“We love when Utah companies choose to expand in the Capital City,” says Lara Fritts, Salt Lake City’s economic development director. “We know Salt Lake City offers TaskEasy the resources and amenities needed as they continue to expand their lawn care footprint to a global scale.”
