Premier office community opens in downtown Salt Lake City

Industrious, a premier shared office space provider with more than 30 shared workspaces in 24 cities nationwide, will open its first location in downtown Salt Lake City mid-February. The new co-working space occupies two floors in the historic Clift Building at 10 West Broadway. The 22,850 square-foot space has 65 private offices and enough space for more than 200 members.

The company has shared workspaces in large cities including Los Angeles, Seattle, New York City, Atlanta, Chicago and more. Industrious executives say economic growth was a major factor in their search for a new location, and Salt Lake City’s thriving economy, innovation, and track record of business expansion made it the ideal location.

“Salt Lake City is bustling with energy and that makes it the perfect place to live and work,” says Paul Peterson, Industrious Salt Lake City Community Manager. “The City is already home to so many amazing companies and brands, we’re excited to be a part of their growth and success.”

Industrious blends five-star service and stunning design to provide an unparalleled workplace experience for established professionals and entrepreneurs. The company’s offerings includes flexible term agreements with 24/7 access, conference rooms to host client and team meetings, and high-speed internet. Members will enjoy unlimited printing and mail services, complimentary café stocked with breakfast, fresh fruit, snacks, and beverages, event space and more.

Salt Lake City’s Department of Economic Development provided Industrious with the high-level of customer services expected by businesses. The team’s Local Business & Entrepreneurship Manager connected Industrious with the city’s small business community and entrepreneurs at the University of Utah’s Lassonde Institute.

“It’s an exciting time to be in the co-working space; both in SLC and across the country,” Peterson adds. “Businesses need great work environments in order to grow and succeed but very few are actually able to execute on this core necessity due to the complicated, opaque and expensive processes.”

“Demand for office space in Salt Lake City is at an all-time high,” says Lara Fritts, Salt Lake City Economic Development Director. “To have a resource like Industrious in the heart of downtown, that’s affordable to entrepreneurs and start-ups, fills a tremendous need.”
