Salt Lake City has implemented a campfire ban at all picnic sites in City Creek Canyon. Fireworks and open fires outside of developed sites are always prohibited in City Creek Canyon. Propane-fueled camp stoves are permitted.

With the hot, dry conditions, as well as proximity to urban neighborhoods, Salt Lake City Public Utilities and Salt Lake City Fire Department have decided to implement the ban until further notice.
