Residents of Salt Lake City will have two opportunities at upcoming City Council meetings to share their thoughts on the Parks, Trails and Open Space Bond that will be on the ballot Nov. 8.
The City Council meetings on Tuesday, Oct. 11, and Tuesday, Oct. 18 will reserve time for public comment where residents can share their opinions regarding the bond. The meetings begin at 7 p.m. and opinions can be shared in-person or online – more information about how to submit a public comment is available online at www.slc.gov/council.
Salt Lake City voters will have the opportunity to vote on the Parks, Trails and Open Space Bond to provide $85 million to enhance the City’s public lands system this November. If voters approve the bond, funds would be used to create, improve, and renovate parks, trails and open space in Salt Lake City. A list of proposed projects that would be funded by the bond, as well as financial and tax impacts, is available at SLCParksBond.com.
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8. Salt Lake City residents are encouraged to vote that day, or to vote by mail. Ballots will be mailed to registered voters beginning the week of Oct. 17, and must be postmarked by Nov. 7.
