Salt Lake City Council to Interview District 7 Vacancy Applicants

Fifteen applicants to be interviewed during a public meeting today at 4:30 p.m.

SALT LAKE CITY – The Salt Lake City Council will soon appoint a representative to fill the vacant District 7 City Council seat following former Councilwoman Amy Fowler’s resignation, which became effective July 3. Each of the 15 applicants will have five minutes to provide a verbal presentation during today’s Council Meeting beginning at 4:30 p.m. An appointee may be selected and sworn in as soon as this evening. If more time is required, interviews and selection may continue on Tuesday, July 18. 

What: Interviews to appoint a representative for Salt Lake City Council District 7.

Who: Salt Lake City Council and administrative leadership, District 7 applicants and the public. 

When: Thursday, July 13 at 4:30 p.m.

Where: City & County Building (451 S. State St.), Council Chambers and/or Work Room
