Judge Sydney Magid was appointed to the Salt Lake City Justice Court in 2004. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1990 and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah College of Law in 1993 where she was a William H. Leary Scholar. Prior to her appointment to the bench, she worked as an attorney in private practice.
