Mayor Mendenhall recently kicked off a local campaign called “Choose SLC” that encourages locals to eat, play, shop and stay local this season.  

Everyday we hear about the ongoing supply chain shortages. For months now we’ve been warned about shipping delays but the solution isn’t to hold your breath and hope for that knock from the delivery person.  Your solution is right here in Salt Lake City – because everything you could possibly need, you can find locally.  

That’s why Mayor Mendenhall, Local First, Downtown Alliance, and various local businesses have launched “Choose SLC.” This local initiative encourages you to think locally. 

Choosing SLC during the holidays comes with endless opportunities for experience. You may come downtown to find a gift, but you can also spend the night in one of the centrally located hotels, dine in one of the many incredible restaurants, take in a show, perhaps the symphony, the ballet –  there are many ways to enjoy the holiday season and support locally at the same time and throughout the year. 

No matter what you choose to do in Salt Lake City this holiday season, when you Choose SLC, you become a contributing member to the economic prosperity of our City. Not only are you keeping 55 cents of every dollar you spend right here in your local economy, you are also supporting your neighbors, your small business owners and the City you call home.
