RoHa Brewing and their NBIP Grant Improvements

RoHa Brewing and their NBIP Grant Improvements

September 13, 2023

In 2022 RoHa Brewing received funding from our Neighborhood Business Improvement Program Grant. This NBIP grant was to help them improve ADA accessibility for their outdoor seating. You can see their proposed improvement plans and initial interview with SLCtv. A year later, RoHa Brewing has made good use of their grant funds. They have turned their improvised outdoor parking seating into a community gathering place. Check out the video below to see their story:

Our Division offers the NBIP program to strengthen the City’s neighborhoods. We use federal funding to support local for-profit businesses with grants. Bussinesses can receive up to $50,000 in funding to improve their façades. The goal is to increase the street appeal of business properties. This improves the surrounding neighborhoods and boosts the economy on a local level. The City directs funding to several target areas in the city. The 2020-2024 Salt Lake City Consolidated Plan indentifies these target areas:

  • Rose Park
  • Fairpark
  • Jordan Meadows
  • Poplar Grove
  • Downtown
  • Central 9th
  • Ballpark
  • Central City
  • Liberty Wells
  • Glendale
