In 2022 RoHa Brewing received funding from the HSD Neighborhood Business Improvement Program (Façade) Grant to improve ADA accessibility for their outdoor seating. You can see their proposed improvement plans and initial interview with SLCtv here. A year later, RoHa Brewing has used these grant funds to turn their improvised outdoor parking seating into a community gathering place for friends and neighbors. Check out the video below to see their story:

The Neighborhood Business Improvement Program (NBIP) is one of the resources offered by Salt Lake City’s Housing Stability Division to strengthen the City’s neighborhoods. Housing Stability utilizes federal funding to support local for-profit businesses by offering up to$50,000 in grants to improve their façades. Increasing the street appeal of properties positively affects the surrounding neighborhoods and boosts the economy on a local level. As identified in the 2020-2024 Salt Lake City Consolidated Plan, the “target area” includes the following neighborhoods: Rose Park, Fairpark, Jordan Meadows, Poplar Grove, Downtown, Central 9th, Ballpark, Central City, Liberty Wells, and Glendale.
