Public alert
The Compliance Division has been renamed the Urban Services Division. This change went into effect on July 1, 2025 as part of the approved FY26 budget for the City.
Administrative Services
This division helps the department run smoothly by managing budgets, financial planning, staff training, safety, and customer service. It also handles big-picture planning and supports communication, emergency response, contracts, and information systems.

Architecture and Construction Management
The Architecture and Construction Management (ACM) Division is an internal service that provides construction management and design services for Parks and Capital Improvement Program projects.

Facilities
This division maintains and repairs Salt Lake City’s public buildings, such as the City & County Building, fire stations, community centers, and parks buildings. They also manage building security.

Fleet
This internal team takes care of all City vehicles and equipment by handling maintenance, repairs, and new purchases. When vehicles are no longer usable, Fleet works with JJ Kane Auctions to sell them and recover some of the costs.

This team provides important services to Salt Lake City residents, including snow and ice removal, fixing and maintaining roads, replacing sidewalks and concrete, painting lane markings, and repairing or replacing street signs and traffic signals.

Urban Services (formerly Compliance)
This team oversees parking enforcement, the City’s towing and impound services (which are contracted out), school crossing guards, parking pay stations, and the Main Library Parking Garage. They also help keep downtown, Sugar House, and North Temple business districts clean and well-maintained. Their work helps keep Salt Lake City safe and easy to get around.
