Overview

Salt Lake City reconstructed 1700 South between 1700 East and 1900 East to extend the street’s lifespan and improve safety, drainage, and mobility. The project replaced deteriorating asphalt with concrete pavement to increase roadway durability and included upgrades to curb ramps and sidewalks to better support people walking and using transit. A new storm drain system, along with updated curbs and gutters, was also installed to improve drainage in the area. Construction took place from November 2018 through July 2019.
