ADA Day

Every July, the Accessibility and Disability Commission, in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office, celebrates ADA Day in recognition of the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) being signed into law.

Since its passage in 1990, the ADA has helped advance access, inclusion, and opportunity for millions of Americans with disabilities. ADA Day is an opportunity to celebrate this important civil rights milestone, recognize community leaders and advocates, and recommit ourselves to building a more accessible and inclusive community for all.

This year’s ADA Celebration will take place on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Salt Lake City & County Building.

Join Salt Lake City, the Accessibility & Disability Commission, and the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) for a free community celebration.
