The Salt Lake City Department of Public Lands presents its 2026 community events series, bringing residents and visitors together in parks, trails, and open spaces across the city. The full schedule is available on the Public Lands event calendar.
This year’s programming showcases a vibrant lineup of free events designed to inspire wellness, spark creativity, and strengthen community connections, all set within Salt Lake City’s beautiful public lands. From engaging outdoor activities to family-friendly experiences, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Returning community favorites include:
- Soak up the sun at Children’s Day.
- Have a paws-itively great time at Dog Training and Yappy Hour.
- Let creativity shine at Artist Stroll.
- Connect with nature at Yoga and Pilates in the Park.
- Enjoy a summer movie night at the Ballpark Blockbuster.
- Listen under the leaves at Music in the Meadows and Jefferson Jams.
- Celebrate summer with the Salt Lake City Drone Show and Pioneer Day Drone Show.
NEW events added:
- Get ready to groove at the Salt Dome for Dancing Under the Stars.
- Discover and celebrate the City’s incredible outdoor spaces with the Public Lands Day Scavenger Hunt.
- Embrace the chills at Fright Night Flick this October.
