Note: The Twilight Concert Series will be held at Library Square from 5-10 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12. For convenience, we encourage the public to participate in the Aug. 12 Council meetings online. If you plan to attend in person, please allow yourself extra time to arrive and keep the following in mind:
- 200 E. will be closed, and parking in the area will be limited.
- Consider taking transit. Use the Transit app to plan your trip.
- A limited number of reserved parking stalls for Council meeting attendees will be available along 500 S. ADA parking and access will be available. View the 500 S parking map
Agendas are published at least 24 hours before the meeting starts. Sign up to receive an email notification when we publish meeting agendas.
The public can comment online through Zoom or in person at the City & County Building. Those who would like to speak must register.
All comments submitted during public comment become part of the public record. All attendees must follow the Public Meeting Rules.
Parking is available at the City Library and can be validated by Council staff.
2 p.m. Community Reinvestment Board Meeting – Room 326
The Council also serves as the Board of Directors for Salt Lake City’s Community Reinvestment Agency (C.R.A.) (formerly the Redevelopment Agency). The Board discusses City business, takes public comments, and votes on proposals.

3:30 p.m. * Work Session – Room 326
Work Sessions are listen-in only, *starting at 3:30 p.m. or immediately after the C.R.A. meeting and ending at approximately 6:30 p.m.
7 p.m. Formal Meeting – Room 315
Formal meetings start at 7 p.m. and end upon the conclusion of items listed on the agenda. The Council holds public hearings and votes in formal meetings. There is also a one-hour time slot for general comments.
Public hearings scheduled for this date include:
- Ordinance: Design Review Standards Amendment
- Ordinance: Parking Regulations in the Downtown Zoning Districts Text Amendment
- Ordinance: Amendment of Chapter 11.14 Parties, Gatherings, or Events
To share comments with the Council, register online or in person. Online registration opens 24 hours before the meeting. General comment registration closes at 7:30 p.m. You can register to speak on a public hearing item until the hearing closes.
Those attending in person will fill out a comment card at the meeting.
