The Salt Lake City Council invites the community to attend the Inauguration and Oath of Office Ceremony of the City’s elected officials representing Council districts 1, 3, 5, and 7.

A reception will immediately follow on the 3rd floor of the City & County Building.
NOTE: Due to the ceremony, the Main Library will be closed for operations until 2 p.m. However, the event is open to members of the public.
Arrival: 200 East will be closed to traffic (between 400 South and 500 South).
- Arrive early to allow extra time for security screening.
- Enter through the library’s southeast doors—the 200 East entrance will be closed.
Parking: Free parking will be available in the Salt Lake City Main Library’s underground parking garage.
- Access the parking garage entrances via 500 South (westbound) or 400 South (eastbound) between 200 and 300 East.
- Staff will be available to help those who need mobility assistance travel between the City & County Building and the Library parking garage.
Transit: Attendees are also encouraged to consider taking public transportation.
- The closest TRAX stations are the Library and Courthouse stops.

ADA parking will be available along 200 East between 400 South and 500 South. Security personnel will allow access to those displaying a qualifying license plate or placard.
