The Salt Lake Sister Cities Board is seeking new board members! Salt Lake City currently has five active Sister City relationships with Matsumoto, Japan; Keelung, Taiwan; Chernivtsi, Ukraine; Torino, Italy; and Trujillo, Peru.
Each relationship was created for different reasons and under different circumstances, but each shares one common goal: to promote peace through mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation.
The board meets every two months and plays an important role in shaping the city’s sub-national relationships and diplomacy. The board welcomes anyone who wants to make Salt Lake City a kind, welcoming place for foreign visitors and diverse cultures.
