It’s August, which means it’s time to go Back to School! Remember these tips so our kids have the best year possible.
- 🚦 Remind children about safe practices for walking, biking, or driving to school: look both ways before crossing, bike with the flow of traffic, and fully stop at stop signs.
- ✏️ Build parent-teacher relationships: set up clear lines of communication, share important information about your child with teachers so they can be properly supported, and learn about programs and resources available.
- 💬 Watch for signs of stress or anxiety in your child and implement support systems early. A new school year can be stressful for both parents and children, so it’s important to have systems in place to make the transition easier.
Have a fantastic school year, District Six!
