This year, the Utah Legislature passed 582 bills, many of which could impact Salt Lake City. One crucial bill is Senate Bill (SB) 195, which affects various transportation programs.
SB 195, among other things, requires Salt Lake City to study past and potential future changes on city streets between I-15 and Foothill Drive and create a “mobility plan.” Utah’s Department of Transportation (UDOT) must approve the plan before the City can start work on projects included in the study.
The Sunnyside Avenue Safety Improvement CIP project is included in the study and is on hold until the study is completed this fall.
