We Offer Accessible Accommodations
At Salt Lake City, we commit to making government accessible to everyone. No matter your racial and ethnic background, language, or disability, we are here for you. If you have disabilities or if you need language help, let us know. Here are a few details about how we can help make your experience easier.
How We Comply With ADA
The ADA, or Americans with Disabilities Act, is a federal accessibility law. At Salt Lake City, we always work to follow this law. If you have ADA accommodation needs, you can let us know. You can also contact the Salt Lake City ADA Coordinator.
Our Web Accessibility
Salt Lake City commits to making our digital content accessible. We commit to meeting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 level AA. This is a new requirement of ADA law. It includes making our content as simple and easy to understand as possible. It also means making content accessible when using screen readers. We want to allow everyone to use and understand our online content.
Several of our online documents are not yet fully accessible. If you find a document with an “*” in its title, this document is not yet accessible. If you wish to view one of these documents and need accommodations, let us know!
Phone Accomodations
If you are hard of hearing, phone call accommodations are available. When calling us, dial 7-1-1 for TTY (text telephone) relay services.
Need Language Help?
Not everyone communicates the same. Maybe you’re not fluent in English. If you need help with translating our documents from another language, we can help. Just email our office. We can also help if you need interpretation when speaking to our staff. Let us know what you need and we will connect you with one of our communication specialists.
