Apply for Our Federal Grants
Every year Salt Lake City offers federal funding for local projects. These grants support both development and services. We hope you will apply!
What You Need to Know
- Applications are open every Fall.
- You must submit applications online.
- Awards are announced in late Spring.
- Smallest award amounts are $50,000.
Before You Start
Before you start, learn which federal grants we offer to the public. Then you can decide which grant is right for your program.
You will submit applications in Neighborly. Before you apply, you should register on the website. You should also review the application handbook and watch the training. The handbook and training will tell you what is required and if you qualify for funding.
The handbook is linked as a PDF. It has not been optimized for all users.
How to Use Neighborly
Registering on Neighborly is a simple process. Enter your name, your email, and create a password. If you have registered before, you do not need to register again; you can just sign-in. Neighborly is not compatible with the Internet Explorer web browser.
What’s Next
You can check the status of your application on Neighborly. Select ‘View Application’ and look in the upper left corner. Your application info, including status, will be visible.
Current award decisions will be announced in May 2026. If the City approves your application, we will guide you through the next steps, including contracting. We will have a training for everyone who received the award.
