How to Use Neighborly
Registering on Neighborly is a simple process. Enter your name, your email, and create a password. If you have registered before, you do not need to register again; you can just sign-in. Neighborly is not compatible with the Internet Explorer web browser.
Steps
- Submit Your Online Application.
You will submit your federal application online. We accept applications with the Neighborly management software. You must submit separate applications for separate programs or projects. - We Accept Your Application.
Our office staff review your application first to check you qualify. We will notify you if your application is rejected. We also provide an administrative score for your application. We base our score on your response to several risk assessment questions. - The Board Reviews Your Application.
The Community Development and Capital Investment Planning board then review your application. They score your application based on the project merit. They base their scores on your responses to all application questions. You may attend the meeting with your application review to answer any questions they have for you. This scoring takes place during the Fall and early Winter. - The City Makes a Funding Decision.
The Board recommends application awards to the Mayor. Then the Mayor recommends application awards to City Council. Finally, City Council selects applications to fund. Applicants may attend and comment at the City Council funding meeting. This process takes place during the Spring. - We Write Your Contract.
We will notify you on your application status. If your application was selected, we will write your contract with Salt Lake City. This occurs during late Spring and Summer. Once we complete your contract, you may begin spending award funds.
