We Can Help You Fix Your Home

We Can Help You Fix Your Home

We offer three ‘Fix Your Home’ programs to help you make repairs to your house. These programs are:

  • Minor Repairs
  • Home Repairs
  • Fix the Bricks

These programs help stabilize Salt Lake City families in their current homes.

What is our Minor Repairs Program?

This program helps in-need Salt Lake City residents with small home repairs. The program is for low-income seniors or those with disabilities. If you apply and qualify, you can receive free funding. We can give up to $1,500 per household.

What is our Home Repairs Program?

This program gives funding to Salt Lake City residents for health, safety, and structural home repairs. This can include services such as Lead paint and Radon gas removal. The program is for low-income households. If you apply and qualify, you can receive a no- or low-interest loan, depending on your needs. We can give up to $50,000 per home for major repairs. This is one-time assistance.

What is our Fix the Bricks Program?

This program makes seismic retrofits to Salt Lake City brick homes. The program focuses on unreinforced masonry homes built before 1975. Unreinforced masonry means the homes were built in a way that is unsafe during an earthquake. With some upgrades to your home, you can reduce this risk.

Our goal is to stabilize homes to reduce the chance of collapse. The priority for a retrofit is to stabilize:

  • Roof-to-wall connections
  • Chimney roof bracing

Projects are completed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note this is not a masonry repair program.
