The Public Services Department’s Fleet Division is hiring for a Fleet Mechanic. This role performs journey-level, skilled diagnosis, repairs and maintenance on heavy and light vehicles and equipment and electric vehicles. “Light” equipment includes police and other passenger cars, pick-ups, tow trucks, vans, ATV and other four-wheelers, Cushmans, small tractors, mowers, snow blowers, accessories, hydraulics and other motive and non-motive equipment. “Heavy” equipment includes bulldozers, loaders, pavers, brooms, power shovels, packers, plows, fire trucks, hydraulics, accessories and other motive and non-motive equipment.
