The Engineer V position involves managing and supervising design and construction projects for the Salt Lake County Solid Waste Management Facility (landfill). This includes overseeing projects to ensure they are completed effectively and meet all technical and safety standards. This role also requires reviewing environmental documents, such as Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments, and providing guidance to City personnel on various environmental concerns, ensuring that all operations comply with environmental regulations and industry standards. Experience in landfill engineering and knowledge of environmental sampling methods strongly preferred.
