Salt Lake City Mayor Recognizes Building Efficiency Leaders at Awards Luncheon

EPA Official to join Mayor Biskupski to recognize 2016 Mayor’s Skyline Challenge Winners

WHAT: Mayor Biskupski will be recognizing the 2016 winners of the Mayor’s Skyline Challenge. The businesses are actively contributing to a stronger economy, cleaner air, and reduced carbon emissions through implementing energy efficiency improvements to large buildings that make up Salt Lake City’s skyline.

WHEN: Friday, July 15th 12:00-1:30 p.m.

WHERE: Gallivan Hall located on the North side of the Gallivan Center, 239 S. Main St., Salt Lake City. Media may park in the loading/unloading zone on 200 South, north of Gallivan Hall (one hour limit), or in the One Utah Center parking garage at 201 South Main Street.

WHY: The Mayor’s Skyline Challenge is a multi-year competition that encourages building owners across the city to proactively achieve high levels of energy savings and pollution reductions by evaluating their building’s energy use, setting energy-saving goals, and undertaking energy-saving projects.
