Salt Lake City and The Gallivan Center, with the help of generous sponsors, are proud to offer a wide spread of free summer activities for the whole family. Fun summer activities include Friday Night Flicks, Yappy Hour, and Independence Day and Pioneer Day fireworks shows.

Friday Night Flicks is a great opportunity to watch family favorite movies from the ‘80s and ‘90s every Friday through July 14th. Bring a blanket and enjoy movies under the stars. Each event features one or more food trucks from The Food Truck League, and fun activities such as lawn games and music. The films start at dusk, usually around 9 p.m.

Yappy Hour features live music, sponsor booths with fun activities, giveaways, and items for purchase, delicious food, and refreshing drinks for all to enjoy while relaxing with your canine friend. Play with your canine in our large off-leash dog area filled with balls, Frisbees, and lots of water.

Come enjoy the Fourth of July and 24th of July firework shows. Lay out your blanket and bring your family and friends for a firework show to remember. Fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. for both events.
