Today, Salt Lake City officially launched the Funding Our Future dashboard. The online dashboard tracks funding from the recently passed half a percent sales tax increase and displays specific dollar allocations to be used for community-identified critical needs: affordable housing, neighborhood security, streets and infrastructure, and transit.

“The Salt Lake City Council and I are committed to transparency for residents with a clear picture of how these new tax dollars are being spent,” said Mayor Jackie Biskupski. “The dashboard is a simple and easy way to see revenue-specifics on each of the four critical service needs.”

As the Salt Lake City Council deliberates Mayor Biskupski’s recommended budget, residents are encouraged to check the dashboard daily and follow how the revenue is allocated. The dashboard features sales tax funding scenarios for each of the four critical service needs, presentation videos and plans, and a budget process timeline.
