Salt Lake City is growing its support of the arts and cultural events in 2025, with increased funding totaling $300,000 for community-organized celebrations. Grant applications are now open for Salt Lake City’s Arts, Culture, and Entertainment (ACE) Fund for 2025.

Since 2012, the Mayor’s Office has sponsored various community-centered events contributing to Salt Lake City’s culture and vibrance, uniting neighborhoods and communities through celebration, education, cultural programming, and more. The annual grant program is designed to support neighborhood and community events in Salt Lake City, with awards ranging from $500 to $10,000.

“In 2024, the ACE Fund supported 126 community celebrations, each of them contributing to Salt Lake City’s cultural identity,” said Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall. “With increased funding, I’m looking forward to empowering even more events in 2025 that strengthen the ties that bind us as a city.”

To be eligible for ACE funding, events must occur within Salt Lake City limits and support the City’s overall vision and goals. The application window will close on November 1, at 11:59 p.m.

The City will host two information sessions in October for those interested in learning more about the fund and the application process:

*October 3, 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Sorenson Unity Center, Black Box Theater (1383 S. 900 West)

*October 23, 6-7 p.m. at Downtown Main Library, Conference Room A (210 E. 400 South)

Community members with questions can contact the City’s ACE Fund Coordinator, Katie Schnell, at ACE@slcgov.com. Visit slc.gov/mayor/ace-fund to learn more about the ACE Fund and application process.
