A business license is required to engage in business in Salt Lake City whether you are located within the boundary, or simply conducting business in the city. All business licenses must be renewed annually.

Salt Lake City Corporation has a variety of needs spanning numerous industries which are fulfilled by external companies through competitive procurement processes. These needs present many opportunities to local business owners. The Purchasing & Contracts Division is responsible for soliciting some of those needs on behalf of multiple City departments and can assist in connecting you with those opportunities.
