Grateful Tomato Garden

With over half an acre on the east side of Salt Lake City, the garden features an artesian well that waters all the plots, a straw bale greenhouse and a hoop house. The site also hosts an annual Tomato Sandwich party. The large amount space the garden encompasses allows for a wide variety of fruits and vegetables to be grown. Corn, tomatoes, pumpkins, pears, apples, peaches, strawberries and raspberries are just a few of the foods community members can grow and enjoy. The garden also provides a space for a Youth Gardening Program that allows children to learn as they grow and eat their fresh garden vegetables. For more information visit the garden’s website.
