Neighbors in Action: Meet Amanda!

Real neighbors. Real stories. Real impact.

Amanda Stewart, founder of Mochi Kids

Every other month, I’ll be highlighting a neighbor who’s making our district a better place.

This month, I want to introduce you to Amanda Stewart, founder of Mochi Kids. She’s helped strengthen the 9th & 9th community through her creative small business, thoughtful local leadership, and commitment to giving back.

As the owner of Mochi Kids, Amanda has worked with fellow 9th & 9th business owners to organize the holiday gift drive—ensuring children in need receive gifts during the season—and consistently supports neighborhood vibrancy through her entrepreneurial spirit and involvement in the arts community. Her store brings unique, eco-friendly children’s clothing, books, and toys to families and serves as a welcoming space that celebrates culture and connection, reflecting her broader impact on Salt Lake City’s local business ecosystem and community identity.
