As a fellow SLC resident, I’m always working to improve District 6 and our city however I can. One of my top priorities is water conservation and I am currently investigating how the city can revamp its existing conservation plan, including how we approach new construction and park strips.
Conservation is especially important in Salt Lake City since we rely on snowmelt for our water supply. If our weather is constantly changing and we undergo droughts, our water source is affected, so saving water is crucial.
Our lakes and ponds are also home to many local ecosystems, so protecting species like birds and fish is essential.
