Mount Olivet Cemetery

Established in 1874, Mount Olivet Cemetery was Salt Lake City’s second public burial ground and is the only public non-profit cemetery in the United States ever to be created by an act of Congress.

Located on 500 South, across from the University of Utah’s Rice-Eccles Stadium, Mount Olivet is one of the state’s most visible cemeteries. The lush green sanctuary is popular with both wildlife and runners.

Visit the cemetery’s website for more information.
