Dr. Atim Atte Enyenihi is a scientist, strategist, and advocate for aligning careers with purpose and impact. With nearly 18 years in life sciences spanning academia, industry, and government, she has made significant contributions to biotechnology, diagnostics, and therapeutic development.

Holding roles such as Principal Scientist at Amgen and Senior Scientist at Recursion, Dr. Enyenihi has played a key role in advancing both small and large molecule therapeutics. Her work includes the discovery of peptide targets for leukemia, now in development as CAR T-cell immunotherapy for acute myeloid leukemia. She has also developed diagnostic assays for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), secondary hypertension, and helped onboard a newborn screening test for a rare genetic disorder, currently used across Utah and other Mountain West states.

Driven by a desire to make a broader and more local impact, Dr. Enyenihi recently transitioned into city government, where she works at the intersection of technology, innovation, and economic development. She is passionate about mentorship, career coaching, and storytelling to help STEM professionals align their careers with purpose and fulfillment.

Dr. Enyenihi earned her Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. When she’s not shaping the future of STEM careers, she enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, and exploring the outdoors.
