Project overview
The City Cemetery is generally between 11th Avenue and 4th Avenue, North Street and U Street. The project area is in the Cemetery’s northeast quadrant, generally located between 1040 East and 1200 East and 280 North and 11th Avenue
OVERALL PROJECT SCHEDULE
December 2024 – July 2026
- Construction began December 2024, with some mobilization beginning November 25-27, 2024.
- The estimated completion date of work sequence one (about 80% of the work) is winter 2025.
- The estimated completion of work sequence two is summer 2026.
- Anticipated hours of operation will generally be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- **Schedule is subject to change depending on weather, permitting, and unknown circumstances.
GENERAL PROJECT WORK DESCRIPTION
- Tree protection and SWPPP, demolition, utilities (roadway irrigation and plat irrigation), grading, curb and gutter, concrete paving, landscape restoration.
- Roadway improvements generally include replacing exiting roadway features with concrete pavement, curb and gutter, waterways, and street signs with decorative posts.
- Roadway area irrigation system improvements (roadway and roadway vaults and associated assemblies and electrical pipe, wiring, and controllers) generally include replacing irrigation with new irrigation system.
- Plat area irrigation system improvements generally include replace landscape irrigation and install new root watering system for trees, and related work.
