SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall signed a proclamation Wednesday evening further clarifying the parameters for requiring individuals within the City to wear masks or face coverings when they are in public spaces or with people outside their household.
The proclamation was updated to be more specific about what is considered a “public setting.” This definition matches the definition used in the statewide mask requirement, which expires on April 10.
Additionally, language was added to address social gatherings handled by event hosts, and clarify any ambiguity around eating or drinking at a restaurant.
