Housing SLC Reading Clubs

As part of Housing SLC, Salt Lake City is excited to announce the creation of reading clubs to help residents learn more about housing and what can be done to make housing more affordable.

If you are interested in joining a reading club, please sign-up and fill out the online questionnaire so we can gauge interest and determine the best way of facilitating meetings. Don’t have time to read a full book? We are also reading articles so you can join in the discussion with less of a time commitment.

Once we’ve determined interest during the month of August, we will contact you in September with more details, including group size and reading materials.

We hope that through these reading clubs, new friendships and connections will be formed and new ideas will be shared. We hope that this will help lead to better solutions inside and outside City Hall. We also hope that these book clubs will challenge those who participate to think about housing in new ways.

If you are interested in reading about housing but aren’t sure if you want to join a reading club, please see our housing reading list, which has articles, reports, and books to get you started.

Many of the titles are available at the Salt Lake Public Library or at local bookstores.

To access New York Times Articles, visit the Salt Lake City Public Library’s website and log in with your library account. Free library card accounts are available for Salt Lake City residents!
